As we continue to pick up the pieces from this year's wildfires and prepare for another legislative session, the state of Oregon has a choice — it can continue to advance ineffective and harmful approaches to reducing wildfire risk, or it can move forward science-backed policies that will protect homes and communities in wildfire seasons to come. By focusing from the home outward, we can live with fire.
Please ask your elected officials to prioritize actions proven to be most effective at helping Oregonians prepare for and adapt to future fires!
Send a letter to Governor Brown and your state representatives to tell them that any money spent in wildfire prevention and recovery should be focused on fire-wising our communities, not logging deep in the forest far away from homes and communities!
